CLARENCE AND RICHMOND VALLEY GROUPS ENCOURAGED TO SUBMIT EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR COMMUNITY INFRASTRUCTURE FUNDING

Not-for-profit organisations across the Clarence and Richmond Valleys are being encouraged to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for funding under the latest round of the NSW Government’s Community Building Partnership (CBP) program, Clarence Nationals MP Richie Williamson has announced.

The CBP program supports projects that deliver social, environmental and recreational benefits to local communities, helping to enhance infrastructure and strengthen community connections.

Mr Williamson said the 2026 round introduces a new two-stage application process, beginning with an Expression of Interest.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for local organisations to secure funding for projects that make a real difference in our communities,” Mr Williamson said.

“With up to $450,000 available across the Clarence electorate and grants ranging from $10,000 to $100,000, I strongly encourage eligible groups to put forward an Expression of Interest.”

Under the new process, all applicants must first submit an EOI. Shortlisted applicants will then be invited to submit a detailed application.

“This new approach will help ensure funding is directed towards projects that deliver the greatest benefit to our local communities,” Mr Williamson said.

Eligible projects may include building, refurbishing or repairing community infrastructure, as well as purchasing freestanding equipment and vehicles.

Mr Williamson reminded applicants that the program is highly competitive and encouraged organisations to carefully consider the scope of their project.

.

“While there is significant funding available, the program is always oversubscribed, so I encourage applicants to keep requests reasonable to allow for a fair distribution of funding across the electorate,” he said.

Expressions of Interest are now open and must be submitted by 5pm, Friday 8 May 2026. To submit an Expression of Interest, visit: https://communitybuildingpartnership.smartygrants.com.au/clarence
