Residents still recovering from the 2022 floods and being urged to register for the NSW Government’s Resilient Homes Program before applications close at the end of March, State Nationals MP for Clarence, Richie Williamson says.

Mr Williamson said time is running out for eligible residents to access vital support, with new applications closing on 31 March 2026.

“I want to make sure each and every person who is eligible for support receives it, but the deadline is fast approaching,” Mr Williamson said.

“It’s not too late to register, but I strongly encourage residents to act today and ensure their application is submitted before the cut-off.”

The Resilient Homes Program provides a range of supports to help flood-affected homeowners improve the safety and resilience of their homes.

Mr Williamson also urged residents not to self-assess their eligibility.

“It is very important that residents register for the program, even if they are unsure if they qualify. Registering allows program staff to properly assess each application and ensure no one misses out,” he said.

Full details on the Resilient Homes Program, including how to apply, are available at:

Mr Williamson also reminded residents that applications for the Repair to Return Program will also close on 31 March 2026.

This program provides essential repair works to restore disaster-damaged homes across the Northern Rivers, helping residents return to safe and functional living conditions. More information is available here https://resilientlismore.org.au/services/repair-to-return/
