South Grafton Public School has enhanced learning opportunities for children in its Early Intervention program thanks to $11,904 in funding secured through the NSW Government’s Community Building Partnerships program, Clarence Nationals MP Richie Williamson has announced.

The funding has enabled the installation of eight new pieces of modern sensory educational play equipment in the Early Intervention playground located on the Infants School campus. The specialised equipment caters to children of all abilities, promoting cognitive and sensory development through inclusive play.

Mr Williamson said the investment would make a meaningful difference for young learners and their families across the valley.

“This upgrade ensures that children accessing early intervention support have access to engaging and high-quality facilities that help them learn, grow and thrive,” Mr Williamson said.

“South Grafton Public School’s inclusive approach sets a wonderful example, and I’m delighted the NSW Government has been able to support this fantastic project.”

South Grafton Public School Principal, Peter Hickey, said students were already benefiting from the refreshed outdoor learning space.

“Our students are really engaged with the new equipment and are enjoying the benefits it offers,” Mr Hickey said.

“This exciting addition was made possible thanks to funding from the NSW Government’s Community Building Partnership program, which Mr Williamson strongly supported. We are incredibly grateful for this support and delighted to welcome Mr Williamson to view the new equipment in action.”

The Early Intervention Centre at South Grafton Public School supports young children from across the Clarence Valley and provides essential services that build learning foundations in a safe and nurturing environment.
